This is such a simple way to spruce up your regular peanut butter cookies!
Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Hearts
1 bag of Dove Milk Chocolate Hearts
3/4 c Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
1 1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 c All Purpose Flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 stick Crisco All Vegetable Sticks
3 tbsp milk
3/4 tsp baking soda
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by rounded tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. (I like to roll each ball of dough in sugar before putting it on the baking sheet) Press a chocolate heart in the center of the dough. Bakes one baking sheet at a time for 7 to 8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to cooling racks to cool completely. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
