6 Heavy Hearted. . .

I know that I have already told you that Easter was on my heart this morning. . .
but I'm feeling that sadness that comes before Easter. . . the Saturday of waiting. . .  before the miraculous Sunday. . .
Two things are on my heart today. . .
we are so blessed to literally live 200 yards from some of our sweetest friends, David and Cali. . . Two nights ago, their dog, Belle, past away. . . last night, I ran over to their house to give them a hug . . . hearing the story of Belle's death physically hurt my stomach. . . it hurt because I loved Belle and babysat her when David and Cali were out of town and because I kept thinking about how one day I would have to say goodbye to Gus Gus and Wrigley. . . I went home and just crawled into Nate's arms and cried. . . We talked about Nate's two dogs who are in "doggie heaven" . . . hearing him talk about losing his dogs made me cry more. . . I was a mess. . .
The second reason my heart is heavy is because I have a friend going through a valley that I cannot even imagine. . . without knowing any details, please just pray for my friend. . . pray for the Lord to work miracles.
So, I'm linking up again with Casey. . . and asking for prayers. . . prayers for the Lord to heal the hole in David and Cali's heart and prayers for my friend. . .
I am clinging to this verse today. . .
My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. Psalm 62:5

  1. Praying for your friends! Both situations. Isn't it crazy how attached we can become with our animals?

I pray you can be a comfort to both friends. Thanks for sharing!

  3. such a great verse to end this post with. Im so sorry for yalls and their loss. and i know that your friend whose in a rough season is benefiting from your prayers and your heart to ask for prayer for her. I cant imagine the support she must feel from you...I am always so encouraged by you and I don't even "know" you! They are all blessed to have you in their life. I just prayed for peace for you and for them. Love ya!

  4. I know exactly what you mean. Rocky has been our "baby" for almost 6 years and truly that has been the only thing getting us through not having one ourselves, and I don't know what I'd do without him! We just recently added a new addition to the family and I'd already be sad to loose Dex too. Praying for your friends and know the peace that comes with Christ and that our lives are thankfully not over after death. Love ya girl!
