7 Easy Cobbler

Dr. and Mrs. Gayle are some of our sweetest friends! Mrs. Gayle is a godly woman and a true Southern lady! Their daughter, Julie, owns Baker's Dozen Donuts, which I have raved about here! If you are in the College Station area, you MUST stop by and have one of her homemade donuts (I'll confess. . . I have made an 1 1/2 hour trip to Caldwell JUST for Julie's donuts!)
During our "wedding season," my aunts gave me a shower in College Station. At the shower, everyone wrote down one of their favorite recipes on a cute recipe card! Tonight, I made Mrs. Gayle's "Easy Cobbler!" It smelled so wonderful that Nate wanted to pull it out of the oven BEFORE IT WAS DONE just to "try it out!" Luckily, he was patient and he LOVED the end result! Thank you Mrs. Gayle for your friendship AND for this AMAZING recipe!

Easy Cobbler!

Pour the cake mix at the bottom of 13x9 inch pan. . .

Dump the peaches on top. . .
Add butter. . .
And cinnamon sugar. . .
And the delicious result!
Easy Cobbler
1 box yellow cake mix
large can of peaches (I used 29 oz)
1 stick of butter (cut into small pieces)
cinnamon sugar
Spray with pam or slightly cover an oblong baking dish with butter (I used 13x9 inch pan) Dump the cake mix in the pan. Pour in peaches (make sure that the juice mixes with the cake mix) and dot with butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at temperature shown on box.
Optional - can add dewberries or blueberries.

  4. I should try this easy recipe! First time I made peach cobbler I put a CUP of salt instead of a TEASPOON of salt! It was salty to say the least :) No salt in this one!
