1 Sausage and Egg Casserole

A beautiful friend of mine emailed me about brunch suggestions for a bible study "brunch" that she is having next week and I realized that my recipe box is not organized into "party" suggestions! That is definitely something I will need to work on! Of course, I will start off with brunch/tea! :-)

When emailing her back, this was one of the recipes that immediately came to mind! Very easy and frees up your time to decorate or bake something else more complex! You can even make it the day before and bake it in the morning! In my opinion, this is the perfect breakfast when having house guests!
Sausage and Egg Casserole
6 slices bread, cubed
1 pound sausage, browned, drained
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
8 each eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
Cube bread and place evenly in greased 9x13 pan or baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with sausage and cheese. Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over ingredients in pan. May cover and chill overnight (if left overnight, remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Bake 45 minutes at 325 degrees or until set. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 8 to 10.
