2 Guest Blogger: Rylie Boo Events and Monkey Bread

I am soo excited about sharing this recipe, CUTE party, and fun party planning blog! It has been great getting to {virtually} know Serena!

Hi Everyone! I am Serena from Rylie Boo Events!  I am a personalized party planner and a party printables creator.  I have the joy of make the vision of the party host come to life.  So much of what I do is focused on food.  The dessert tables that I specialize in are made up of many yummy treats!  I love to find unique and colorful candies to have for people to taste and enjoy.  There is a giant candy store here in Arizona that has separated colors of just about every candy you could think of. Sweet Factory online is also another great resource. Something as small as candy can make a dramatic impact on your party table.  I also try to include many different kinds of desserts for people to enjoy.  A cake is such a center piece, but it does not have to be your only choice.
I recently did a Monkey themed baby shower were the colors were blue and brown.  At this party, I thought that Monkey Bread would be a great showstopper to have on the table.
(I did not make it, my dear friend Melissa with Decadent Delights did…it looks delish huh???)
I did have a cake as well, but the presentation of this Monkey Bread with the customized D, by Mandie Candy, it helped to make the table POP! We also had a banana split bar at this shower.  Since it was monkey themed, it fit perfectly!!!
I make customized party toppers for all my cupcakes.  I just think it helps to tie to table together and to make it all cohesive.  But, you could use these toppers for anything on the table, not just cupcakes.  I also like to use them as decoration on the other table elements, such as jars and containers.  Food is such an important part to a party, not just to make it beautiful, but to make it fun.  People love food and more importantly they love MEMORABLE food.  So, think of something unique to serve or display it beautifully. This will help to make you look like a party planner!!!

Monkey Bread

Ingredients:
4 cans refrigerated biscuits
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter (3/4 cup)
1/2 cup white sugar
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins (these are optional, it's great with or without them)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9-10 inch tube pan.
2. Mix white sugar and cinnamon in a medium sized plastic bag. Cut the biscuits into halves or quarters and place six to eight biscuit pieces in the sugar cinnamon mix. Shake well.
3. Arrange pieces in the bottom of the greased pan. Continue layering until all the biscuit pieces are coated and in the pan. If you are using raisins, place them among the biscuit pieces as you are layering.
4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the brown sugar over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute. Pour over the layered biscuits.
5. Bake for 35 minutes. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate. Pull apart and enjoy!
